A slim, winged wasp of 10 to 19 mm (l/2" to 3/4") length exists in a verity of colors. It has different color patterns on its body ranging from black to combinations of black with yellow, white or brown markings.
The wasp family consists of queens (fertile females), workers (sterile female), and males. The male members have chewing mouth and female a stinger.
